DISCLAIMER
Okay folks, i'd hoped i'd never have to do this, but here's what we call the DISCLAIMER. This is only here because I think its important for people to understand that this isn't a joke, and that people work hard on these things.
Point #1
LINK BACK! If the maker of the drag and drop wants you to link back when you use a doll DO IT! Don't just think that they will never know you didn't link back. And even if the person doesn't require a link, you should link back anyway, because its the nice thing to do. Some people have very unique props, and they will KNOW whether or not you made the doll there or not. Its very simple to link someone back, so not knowing how should not be an excuse. If you are able to put a doll up on a website, you should also be able to link someone back. These people work VERY hard to make these dollmakers. I've made one, i know. It is very hard to collect all the props and do all the coding. So be considerate and link back. If you don't know how, find out.
Point #2
Don't send rude emails to people demanding that they do something. No matter what, if you send an email, BE COURTEOUS. Think about it like this: You've worked REALLY REALLY hard on a doll site, and spent hours making all the graphics and puttig it together, probably doing a whole lot of html or spending a lot of time using a pagebuilding program, and someone sends you an email like this:
Your site sucks! How come you don't have any minis? Where are all the african american dolls? All your dolls are BLOND! There's no link telling me how to make these dolls! Where do I get the palace software? Where can I get a registration code! The drag and drop doesn't work on my web browser. The text is all overlapped! FIX IT!
You're probably not gonna react very well, are you? What you need to do is try to be nice, make your comments constructive, not critcal. I know that perhaps i'm not good at that (according to my guestbook), but when i criticize drag and drops, i try to give people an idea of what is going to be encountered when they use it. IF there is a laering problem, i need to point it out. But PLEASE, if you send an email, don't be rude, and don't make demands. I'm aware that there are a lot of people now that just don't learn manners, but that is not an excuse. If you're not polite, the person is apt to take their site down altogether, and then all the NICE people will get punished too.

Don't make rude posts in people's guestbooks either. Suggestions are okay, and so are criticisms, but saying "YOU SUCK" or telling someone they cheat, or demanding that people update is NOT acceptable. Also, as you'll read in my next point, read all stuff on the site because if you don't you might say something rude when it has already been explained on the person's site.

Read EVERYTHING you see on a doll site. Nothing is more annoying than when someone emails you with a question that has already been explained on the site, especially if it is something that can be found on the MAIN page. Read the disclaimers. Sometimes the person can seem bitchy (pardon my french), but this is because they're sick of having people STEAL their stuff. You think its fun to make a doll and then see it show up in someone's banner? Or when someone says that they "Made" something, but they really got it from someone else's site? There are rules against these things, and if you don't read the disclaimers, that is no excuse. Doll Site owners can call you on it, because you were SUPPOSED to read it, and by taking their dolls, you were saying that you read it. So please, read the disclaimers and announcements! Its hard work, and if you piss people off, they won't do it.
If you've read all this, then congratulations, you're a lot nicer than most of the people on the internet. You have to remember that you are not the only person in the world, and that these websites come from somewhere. If you're not considerate, and if you don't have any nettiquette, then chances are, one day your favorite site will not be there anymore, and it will be because of rude people who don't fully understand what goes on. And now that i've said that.....
